SMART BASE 3633 is a mid- viscosity polysulfide that provides excellent extreme pressure (EP) performance and good lubricity. It is particularly suitable for machining difficult-to-process metals such as stainless steel and titanium alloys.
SMART BASE 3633 contains a high level of active sulfur and exhibits a certain degree of copper corrosivity; therefore, it is not suitable for machining non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminium alloys.
SMART BASE 3633 has a light colour, allowing easy visual observation during processing. Its low odour improves user acceptance and contributes to a more operator-friendly working environment.
SMART BASE 3633 demonstrates good compatibility and stability with various base oils and other additives, making it easy to formulate different types of metalworking fluids.
In addition to its wide application in metalworking fluids, SMART BASE 3633 can also be used in other formulation systems. For example, it can be used in the formulation of moulding for silicon rubber to enhance ablation resistance and thermal stability, or in asphalt (modified asphalt) to improve dispersion, durability, elasticity, and deformation resistance, thereby enhancing overall performance.
