SMART BASE 2538 is a clear amber, low viscosity, low-odor sulfurized olefin mixture that provides excellent lubricity and extreme pressure (EP) performance. It is suitable for use in various alloy machining fluid formulations.
SMART BASE 2538 has a relatively high sulfur content and is suitable for heavy-duty operations such as tapping, turning, and threading. Due to its active sulfur content, it is not suitable for machining non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminium alloys.
SMART BASE 2538 has a light colour, allowing easy visual observation during processing. Its low odour improves user acceptance and contributes to a more operator-friendly working environment.
SMART BASE 2538 demonstrates good compatibility and stability with various base oils and other additives, making it easy to formulate different types of metalworking fluids.
