SMART BASE 3617 is a clear yellow, medium-viscosity, low-odor sulfurized fatty oil. It delivers outstanding lubricity and extreme pressure (EP) performance, and is recommended for use in oil-based formulations for ferrous metal machining.
SMART BASE 3617 contains a relatively high level of active sulfur and exhibits a certain degree of copper corrosivity; therefore, it is not suitable for the machining of non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminium alloys.
SMART BASE 3617 has a light colour, allowing easy visual observation during processing. Its low odor improves user acceptance and contributes to a more operator-friendly working environment.
SMART BASE 3617 demonstrates good compatibility and stability with various base oils and other additives, enabling flexible formulation of a wide range of metalworking fluids.
