SMARTLUB 3598 is a multifunctional, bio-based, environmentally friendly lubricant additive that integrates rust prevention, friction modification, boundary lubrication, and extreme pressure (EP) performance. It is suitable for use in a wide range of water-based formulation systems.
SMARTLUB 3598 features a unique molecular structure. Its long carbon chains provide high oil film strength and excellent boundary lubrication performance, while its polar functional groups enhance adsorption onto metal surfaces, forming a low-shear lubricating film that effectively reduces the coefficient of friction.
SMARTLUB 3598 exhibits good thermal stability and is suitable for medium- to high-temperature processing conditions. It shows low corrosivity toward non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminium.
SMARTLUB 3598 can be used in combination with synthetic esters, phosphate esters, and other additives to generate synergistic effects that enhance anti-wear and extreme pressure performance. It can also replace traditional sulphur- and chlorine-containing EP additives, thereby reducing environmental impact.
SMARTLUB 3598 has a wide range of applications, including rust preventive oils, high-temperature chain lubricants, emulsions, semi-synthetic fluids, and microemulsion systems.
