SMART BASE 2617 is a highly cost-effective, sulfurized fat oil with a dark amber to brown appearance; but turns to light amber after it is blended with mineral oil.
SMART BASE 2617 contains active sulfur, which is not recommended for the machining of copper, brass, or bronze alloys.
SMART BASE 2617 possesses low viscosity, so is specially suitable for formulating deep drilling and honing oils; which require extremely superior cleansing property.
SMART BASE 2617 possesses excellent lubricating, anti-wear and EP properties. It exhibits more superior performance when blended with phosphate esters such as SMARTPHOS P6800 / P7800 and chlorine replacement additive like SMART BASE CR-2050.
SMART BASE 2617 is light color, so operations can easily be monitored. Its low odor can be accepted easily by workers.
SMART BASE 2617 has good stability and compatibility with other additives and different groups of base oils, which make it easy for blenders to use for blending different types of machining oils.
