Adtecᵀᴹ 155 is an ester of stearic acid esterified with n-butanol and is abbreviated as NBS. It is biodegradable according to the European 21 days and EPA 28 days biodegradability tests.
Applications:
Adtecᵀᴹ 155 is used as a base fluid for steel cold rolling and as a lubricity additives for other metalworking applications. It is also used as an additive in inks and coatings for the slip and mar resistance. Adtecᵀᴹ 155 has FDA approval for use in can coatings and rolling applications as well as a processing lubricant for plastics and rubber.
