Adtecᵀᴹ 160 is abbreviated as IBS that is an ester of stearic acid esterified with i-butanol. It was found biodegradable according to the European 21 days and EPA 28 days biodegradability tests.
Applications:
Adtecᵀᴹ 160 is used as a base fluid for steel cold rolling and as a lubricity additive for other metalworking applications. It is also employed as an additive in inks and coatings for the slip and mar resistance. Adtecᵀᴹ 160 has FDA approval for use in can coatings and rolling applications as well as a processing lubricant for plastics and rubber applications.
