SMARTLUB 3699 is a self-emulsifying ester of trimethylolpropane designed to be incorporated into water-based products such as soluble oils, semi-synthetic and fully-synthetic coolants for steel milling and metalworking processing.
SMARTLUB 3699 has unique metal affinity molecular structure that can adhere tightly onto the metal surfaces even at elevated temperature. The good boundary lubricity and metal wetting characteristics can effectively reduce oil smoke or oil spray evolved during machining.
SMARTLUB 3699 processes strong dispersibility, thermal and hydrolytic stabilities that make it good for used in the formulations of water-based coolants with heavy duty applications.
SMARTLUB 3699 is a multifunctional additive that can save the addition of other additives such as corrosion inhibitor, biocide or emulsifiers in the same system. Hence, the chances for skin irritation or irritation of the air passage to the workers can be reduced.
