SMARTSED 8958 is a polymeric cationic and chlorine-containing water dilatable additive, which can effectively settle metal debris and metal impurities to the bottle of the coolant tanks.
SMARTSED 8958 can effectively break the oil-water emulsion due to its cationic and chemical structure, which results in a clear appearance of the coolant, and extended sump life.
SMARTSED 8958 is specifically recommended to use in fully-synthetic coolants, or cutting fluids with nonionic surfactant. It is not recommended for use in straight oils, soluble oil fluids and semi-synthetic coolants due to its emulsion breaking characteristic.
SMARTSED 8958 is a quaternary ammonium compound that can provide a broad-spectrum microorganism control over a wide range of pH value in systems. It can effectively inhibit the growth of the microbial, and the foul odor caused by microorganisms in the systems can be reduced.
SMARTSED 8958 can be incorporated in the coolant with dosage of 0.2% to 0.5%, or added as tankside additive to the diluted fluids for oil-water separation and microbial control purpose.
