SMART BASE RP3113 is a premium water-displacing, non-staining, corrosion inhibitor designed using oil or solvent as carrier. The resulting residual film will provide protection on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, even in highly humid environment.
SMART BASE RP3113 leaves an ultra thin, almost non-discernible, film when used with a solvent, after evaporation of the fluid carrier.
SMART BASE RP3113 is recommended to be used at treat rates of 3 - 15% by weight in the solvent. At these levels, excellent water displacing and dewatering characteristics can be anticipated. For quicker dewatering properties, the possible incorporation of 1% of a glycol ether to the overall formula may be required. The effect depends on the specific solvent carrier and customer's expectation.
SMART BASE RP3113 can be used in such products as in-process rust preventive, for short term indoor storage applications, and as additive incorporated in cutting oils for extra corrosion fortification against possible water entrainment.
