VPS 17 is a light brown liquid with very slight odor and no chlorinated impurities. It is lubricity-enhancing agent for industrial and metal working formulations, which also provides antiwear and extreme pressure properties. It contains active sulfur and will corrode copper alloys.
VPS 17 is recommended for the formulation of metal working fluids especially when working with ferrous metals. Its EPS properties are enhanced when combined with Arkema Inc.'s TPS products (TPS 32 and TPS 37LS are particularly recommended).
